While at Michigan State, Steve co-founded the Law and Economics Society.Steve is admitted to practice in the United States District Court in the Middle District of Tennessee, and has argued before the Tennessee Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Tennessee Association for Justice, the Nashville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
