University: (1981) with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. MacDonald attended the University of Toledo, College of Law, graduating in 1986. Bruce successfully sat for the Kentucky Bar examination in 1986 and, thereafter, for the Ohio Bar examination in 1987. He has been licensed to practice law in both Kentucky and Ohio for almost three decades. Bruce also practices in Federal Court and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States Court of Claims. He practices on a regular basis in Ohio and Kentucky.Bruce practices various types of law, but for the past twenty years the majority of his law practice has been geared toward personal injury law with an emphasis on representing individuals who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries. He practices Social Security Disability regularly as well. With regard to his personal life, Bruce has been married to Brenda for thirty years and they have a daughter and a son. Bruce spends the majority of his spare time with his family.Mr. MacDonald enjoys the outdoors. He enjoys the backcountry and has spent time hiking and camping in Wyoming, Colorado, Kentucky, Ohio and WestVirginia. Bruce also enjoys bicycling as a recreational hobby and has cycled several times in the annual Bike Tour from Columbus, Ohio to Portsmouth, Ohio.Bruce is also close to his family, many of whom have a strong medical back-ground. Jack MacDonald, Bruce’s late father, graduated from Harvard University in 1947 and was a pediatrician caring for children and families in Greenup and Lewis counties in Kentucky, as well as Scioto and Pike counties in Ohio, for over forty years. Barbara MacDonald, Bruce’s mother, is a retired registered nurse. Bruce’s brother, Eric, is a Board Certified Internist and Board Certified Anesthesiologist. Another of Bruce’s brothers, Kirk, works in the physical therapy field. His sister-in-law, Dr. Canti Hazel, practices internal and pulmonary medicine.
